In what ways can i work with you?
You can work with me in several different ways!
Psychotherapy services are available to those in KY and TN, as this is where I’m licensed. I specialize in narcissistic abuse, CPTSD, betrayal trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, and helping introverts/empaths thrive.
Coaching services are available to those who would like to work on improving a specific area of your life. Coaching is more action-oriented and we work together to create objectives and reach your goals.
(For a full explanation of the differences between therapy and coaching, please go here.)
I offer a small and intimate 10-week group healing program where you receive instant access to a group of fellow survivors who “get it” along with weekly workshops, exclusive healing content, customizable worksheets, a private group chat with me, and more!
My private healing community includes access to me via monthly Q&As, live events, member-only discussion spaces, and more!
What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy and coaching offer two distinct approaches to personal growth.
(For a full explanation of the differences between therapy and coaching, please go here.)
Therapy dives into deeper emotional issues and intricate past experiences that shaped who you are today, offering a safe and supportive space to heal, reflect, and process your feelings. In therapy, we work through the layers of complex emotions and experiences, uncovering deeply rooted patterns and insights that pave the way for meaningful healing and understanding. I use a holistic and trauma-informed therapy approach, which means I see you as a whole person, not as a collection of symptoms to be diagnosed. I incorporate strategies and techniques from DBT, IFS, ACT, CBT, and schema- and attachment-based theories.
Coaching adopts a more proactive stance, focusing on setting concrete goals and developing actionable strategies to navigate specific life challenges. Coaching helps you gain motivation, direction, clarity, and empowers you to take tangible steps toward the outcomes you want. As your coach, I facilitate your growth by helping you set SMART goals, providing feedback and accountability along the way.
Do you offer in-person or telehealth services?
Currently, I offer telehealth services only. I can provide you with a secure video link via the SimplePractice platform.
What kind of therapeutic modalities or techniques do you use?
I take a holistic and trauma-informed approach to therapy, which means I see you as a whole person rather than just a bunch of symptoms needing a label. I believe in understanding each person based on your unique experiences, emotions, and personality traits. I incorporate strategies and techniques from DBT, IFS, ACT, CBT, and also look at schema and attachment-based theories, all tailored to create a supportive therapeutic experience that encourages healing and growth.
What do therapy and coaching sessions cost?
The same rates apply for both psychotherapy and coaching sessions. The rates are:
Individuals
25-min sessions: $87
45-50 min sessions: $175
80-min sessions: $280
Currently, I don’t offer couple or family sessions.
Any length of session that falls outside of the previously mentioned ranges, paperwork sent for review, or collaboration done on your behalf will be billed at a prorated amount.
What if I can't afford your therapy or coaching services?
I understand everyone isn’t able to afford individual therapy or coaching sessions, which is why I also offer a group program, private healing community, and wrote my bestselling book!
For free resources, get my bimonthly newsletter to start or strengthen your healing journey!
Do you take insurance?
Currently, I am not accepting insurance. I am private pay only. If you are a therapy client, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement. If you are going to rely on getting reimbursed, I would advise you to do this before engaging in any sessions, making sure to ask your insurance company what diagnosis and CPT codes they cover and how many sessions they will pay for.
As a coach, can you give me a superbill to submit to my insurance?
If we’re working together in a coaching relationship, I am not acting in my capacity as a therapist. Therefore, I’m not able to provide you with a superbill, because we’re not engaging in therapy. As a coach, I’m also not able to sign any kind of health, medical, or work-related document.
What is it like to work with you?
As a therapist, I take a very collaborative, compassionate approach because I’ve seen that the most important aspect of healing is a safe, supportive relationship. I create a space where you can feel seen, heard, understood, guided, and supported. Ultimately, I want all of my clients to know and feel… you’re never really alone. I’m here with you! I believe in helping my clients leave each session with a sense of clarity, hope, empowerment, and belief that positive change is always possible.
As a coach, I offer guidance and facilitate your growth by helping you identify the areas of your life you would like to improve and craft a plan to meet these goals. I can help you stay accountable to the outcomes you want and provide practical strategies to get you there!
How long are therapy/coaching sessions?
Both therapy and coaching sessions have the following options:
The most frequently chosen sessions last 50 minutes. Extended sessions are 80 minutes. If you need a shorter session just to “touch base” or address a specific concern, 25-minute sessions are available for those instances. Back-to-back 50-minute sessions are an option as well.
Do you require payment on the day of services?
Yes, you will add a credit card or HSA card to your client portal via SimplePractice and it will be charged at the end of the day after a session. SimplePractice offers a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform for your personal information and payment method. Please note that most HSA cards can only be used for therapy sessions.
How often will we meet?
The frequency of sessions depends on your needs!
For therapy, most clients prefer to start out meeting once a week and then slowly space out sessions from there. However, if you’re unable to or do not wish to meet once a week, we can figure out a schedule that works for you!
For coaching, most clients start out weekly or every other week, then space out sessions from there. The frequency depends on your specific goals, availability, and timeframe in which you’d like to see changes.
Do you provide resources outside of therapy/coaching sessions?
Yes! I often provide clients with a list of books, articles, and videos to supplement our work together.
How do i book an appointment?
You can request an appointment by filling out the short form on my contact page!
An important note: If you reside outside of KY or TN, I am only able to offer you coaching services, assuming that it is in alignment with your needs and goals. While I can certainly provide psychoeducational coaching sessions about dealing with antagonistic personalities, healing, setting boundaries, and othe personal development goals, please note that coaching isn’t appropriate for issues of active domestic violence or suicidal concerns. If these issues arise while working together, I will refer you to a therapist in your area. Coaching is more action-oriented and focuses on addressing specific life situations, and we work together to create goals and objectives that fit your needs.
Is everything I share in therapy or coaching confidential?
I want to be transparent about the limits of confidentiality to ensure a safe and trusting environment for our work together. While your privacy is very important, there are certain situations where I may be legally or ethically obligated to disclose information. This includes instances of suspected child abuse, threats of harm to yourself or others, or when mandated by law. I will always strive to inform you if such circumstances arise, and we can discuss the implications together. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences, while also understanding the boundaries that exist to protect not only you but also the wellbeing of others.
If i have a specific question about working with you, what should i do?
If you’re interested in working together or contacting me to see if we’re a good fit, please fill out the contact form on my contact page!
